Abstract：We’re entering the Analytics 3.0 phase where enterprises are making decisions at quantum 

speed using the powerful combinations of advanced analytics techniques against big data. This 

revolution shift brings businesses

 tremendous opportunities for developing new competencies and achieving successes. This presentation 

summarizes some major initiatives North Carolina academics and businesses have been taking to 

demonstrate the development and impact of data analytics in the US. Examples of potential data analytics 

research in China are discussed at the end.

薛雅炯教授简介

薛雅炯现为East Carolina University商学院管理信息系统系副教授（终身教授），医疗卫生管理系统研究中心副主任。是Communications of the AIS (CAIS)的副编。曾担任多个国际会议的Track Chair或副编辑（如：PACIS、ICIS等）10余次。主要研究领域为信息技术管理中的社会行为学现象等。薛雅炯在国外学术刊物上发表大量论文。在MISQ、ISR、JMIS、JAIS四大国际顶尖信息系统学术期刊发表论文10余篇。
