Overview
• This major can be traced back to the Economic Management Major in 1984, which is one of the earliest business administration majors in China. In 2007 and 2011, business administration discipline (under the School of Management) was ranked the 1st in the national assessment of first-tier disciplines by the Ministry of Education. In 2017, it was recognized as one of the top-tier (A level) in China. In 2020, it was selected as the first batch of "National First-class major”. The goal of the major is to develop talents with good business administration management, and professional proficiency.

Career Prospects
Graduates of this major are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to work in global companies, professional business consulting firms and marketing or management positions in renowned companies. 32.5% of them have entered 985 universities for postgraduate study, and 18.3% of them have studied abroad, including University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Manchester, Waseda University and other international famous universities. A large number of graduates work in well-known international companies such as Tencent, Huawei, Samsung, IBM, INTEL, Microsoft, Huawei, Datang Telecom, Amazon, Baidu, and other international large companies.
- Big Data Management and Application
Overview
This major aims to cultivate interdisciplinary talents who are equipped with big data management technology and methods and master basic theories of management. It adopted a brand new mode of individualized teaching and course teaching system. The expected learning outcomes include cultivating senior management talents with global vision, innovative consciousness, and leadership potential. Graduates are expected to be capable to independently engage in data analysis, business intelligence decision-making, information management and business process optimization in business, finance, manufacturing and other related fields.
